Oatmeal breakfast

Oat is one of the best and underrated food. They are extremely cheap and are full of vitamins, minerals (calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, potassium,…) and antioxidants. It is full of fibers, carbohydrates, proteins and unsaturated fats that’s why this is the best breakfast for starting your day. A huge benefit is that oat has the ability to boost your mood, lowers cholesterol and is used against kidney, bile, liver diseases plus it cleans your blood. What’s not to like here?  

Now let’s get down to business and prepare oatmeal for one person. This is how I prepare it for myself. If you wish to prepare this for more persons just multiply the quantities below.

Ingredients:

  • almond or oat milk 3 dcl
  • oats 40 grams
  • salt
  • cinnamon (optional)
  • honey (optional)
  • banana (optional)

We pore the milk in a pot and put it on the stove. When we start seeing bubbles on the surface we add oats, a pinch of salt and cinnamon (to your taste) and stir it with the wooden cooker. When we start seeing bubbles again we lower the temperature cook for another 8 to 10 minutes.

When oat is cooked we pore it on the plate, add a tablespoon of honey and one sliced banana.
